Careers on Country is a flagship annual initiative of the Tamworth Opportunity Hub, designed to support Aboriginal students from Years 9 to 12 as they explore future pathways in a culturally grounded environment. Delivered on Country at Trelawney Station, the program brings together students, local organisations and industry representatives for an immersive experience focused on career exploration, aspiration and connection.

Careers on Country complements the Opportunity Hub’s ongoing Career Planning Days, ensuring students receive consistent, tailored support throughout the year. Through a diverse range of exhibitors and hands-on opportunities, students engage with potential pathways across sectors such as emergency services, retail, further education, engineering, allied health, and land and water management. The program creates a supportive space where young people can build confidence, ask questions and gain practical insights into their future options.
